Bayer MaterialScience LLC's portfolio of Bayhydrol UV resins for interior and exterior concrete applications include Bayhydrol UV 2317, Bayhydrol UV XP 2280 and Bayhydrol UV XP 2690.

    Contractors can use a variety of methods for UV curing. Formulations for outdoor applications can be cured by natural sunlight. Or, coatings can be applied and cured onsite with portable UV lamps in less than four hours, which is a significant productivity improvement over alternative coatings. Another key advantage is that multiple coats can be applied, dried, then cured at once - with just one UV coating.

    These operator friendly, high molecular weight UV resins feature a number of other beneficial properties, as well: they are odorless, co-solvent free, light stable for resistance to weathering, abrasion resistant and chemical resistant, and have good adhesion to the concrete substrate. Coatings formulated with these resins can be applied with existing equipment by spray, roll, squeegee, etc. Typical applications include large warehouses, restaurants and amusement parks.
