On Nov. 30th, the journalist of the National Paint & Coatings Industrial Information Center went to Qingyang Town, Jiangyin City to visit Jiangyin Shuangfeng Chemical Machine Co., Ltd. and interviewed the general manager Ye Dongfeng.

Q: there were only several chemical machine producers in our countries and two producers in Chongqing and Jiangyin were well known. But now, Jiangyin Shuangfeng Chemical Machine Co., Ltd. is well known in coatings industry. Could you tell us why your corporation develops so rapidly?

A: Jiangyin Shuangfeng Chemical Machine Co., Ltd. was founded in 1992, when it had a small scale. After 6 years development, the benefits increased suddenly and even doubled every year. Now, the old factory could not satisfy the market, so we have built 6000m2 new factories in Qingyang Industrial Zone and we’ll move in next month.

Q: It is said that there are large number of chemical machine producers in China especially in Jiangsu, so some factories cannot continue living. How can Shuangfeng develop so fast and how can you occupy the market?

A: Firstly, the coatings industry develop rapidly in the last years, the scale of coatings corporations is enlarged and the equipment updating quickens, so the need of coatings equipment goes up. Secondly, at the same time of growing need, the coatings equipment producers increase, too. There are more than 30 producers in Jiangyin, which has both benefit and harm. The benefit is that customers have more choices, and the harm is the competition becomes fiercer. However, as long as we research the market hard and innovate constantly, we could receive respond. Innovation is the basic and also our magic weapon of occupying market.

Q: What do you mean by innovation?

A: Innovation mainly mean two aspects. One is the new system, and the other is the high-tech new product. The new system means that it adopts stock system, which combines the corporation benefits and personal income, instead of state corporations and village corporations. Another character of our corporation is that our management department has many young people who have novel concepts. They have great ambition and plentiful energy, which raise the efficiency and after-sale service quality. The horizontal sand grinder, column dry powder mixer, putty agitator, fluid can-packer and vacuum disper that our corpoaration made are welcomed in market. In the present, any corporation that doesn’t innovate new products to fit market will be eliminated. Not to advance is to go back.

Q: Apart from renovating management and products, are there any other promotion means?

A: Certainly. Advertisement, exhibition and website are good means of promoting your products. In this society, if a new product could not be introduced to customers, it would become out of date.
