National Bureau of Statistics of China (NBS) declared the industrial development of the former three quarters this year. The statistics showed that the profits of these three quarters this year increased by 39.79% compared to last year. However, the industry differentiation becomes more severely.

    The increase of petroleum price influences its downstream industries significantly. Chemical industry needs large quantity of petroleum, so it is easy being influenced by petroleum industry. In the former three quarters, chemical industry realized profits 57.521 billion yuan, increasing by 87.66% than last year while lower than the 1st quarter. Its growth stability is better than other relevant industries. Because of the strong demand for chemical materials, the prices of chemical products have increased to a large extent, which offsets the negative influences from increasing costs. Among 153 kinds of highlighted products, their prices increased 73% averagely than last year. The organic materials and synthetic materials increased more than 20%.

    In addition, the profits of coatings, inks and colorants only grew 3.4% in the three quarters, lower than former half year obviously.
